Honda Monkey UK Key Features:
Unique and Sleek
Back in the 70’s when the original Honda Monkey UK motorcycle was revealed, it became a fashion icon. The Monkey quickly became the bike to be seen riding, and it is just as desirable now. With an updated style, the new Honda Monkey pays tribute to the original design, with chrome steel, high-level mudguards at the front and rear, as well as the high-rise handlebars and unique exhaust shield. Original, but modern, the new Monkey has never looked sleeker.
Reliable and Robust
Uncomplicated in its design, the Honda Monkey is incredibly robust and reliable. With an air cooled and fuel injected horizontal 125cc SOHC power unit, the engine of the Monkey is both durable and powerful, making 6.9kW at 7,000rpm. The Honda Monkey also comes equipped with a four-speed gearbox, managed by a clutch, giving you more control over your ride.
Stable and Sturdy
Stable and sturdy in its design, the new Monkey is built from a steel frame and an oval-section swingarm. This strong chassis includes up-side-down front forks with a premium Alumite finish, dual rear shocks that have axle travel of 104mm and 12-inch tyres with a block pattern that provides a smoother ride. To make the Honda Monkey a comfortable, pleasurable ride, it also has a luxurious seat that is made from high-density urethane and plush.
Stopping and Steering
Small and lightweight, the Monkey motorcycle has fantastic handleability and steers like a dream. What’s more, it has excellent stopping power thanks to the single-channel ABS braking system, with a single 220mm front disc and 190mm rear disc, all controlled by an Inertial Meaurement Unit (IMU). This means that under heavy braking, the rear of the bike won’t lift and you can come safely to a halt.
LED and LCD
Like most new motorcycles, LED lighting is a must-have. The new Honda Monkey bike comes with full LED lighting, including the indicators, and the all-important feature of an ‘answer back’ system, so you’ll never lose your ride in a car park again.
The full LCD instrument cluster is equipped with useful information including: a speedometer, a twin trip odometer and a six-segment fuel level indicator, keeping you up-to-date on your bike at all times. This instrument cluster has a circular and retro design, that adds a wow factor.
The Monkey is in a class of its own, in both style and structure. It is strong in its design, with a sturdy chassis, a reliable 125cc, air-cooled engine, and an ABS braking system controlled by an IMU. Lightweight and easy to handle, Honda Monkey UK weighs only 107kg, while also being a comfortable ride, thanks to its seat. The monkey also has personality, a character and style that everyone wants to be riding. From the chunky tyres, to the high-level mudguards, the painted shock absorbers, swingarm and fuel tank, right up to the high-rise, chrome handlebars, which combined, really have the wow factor.
